Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao is advocating for more party tickets to be given to BC leaders in the upcoming assembly election in Telangana. It has been reported that a majority of seats will be allocated to leaders from the Reddy community. Hanumantha Rao believes that BC leaders should receive a larger share of the ticket allotments, as promised by AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi. The BCs make up over 50% of the state’s population and therefore deserve a majority stake in the party’s ticket distribution.

The party has already organized 10 “BC Garjana” meetings in the state, with plans to hold a similar meeting in Shad Nagar in September. This meeting is expected to benefit the Congress party. Karnataka CM Sidda Ramaiah will attend the meeting as the chief guest.
