    Police Recruitment Process in Telangana Under Scrutiny

    In a recent development, the Chairman of the Telangana State Police Recruitment Board, Sri Nivas Rao, has stated that the recruitment process for police jobs in the state is being closely monitored for transparency. He also revealed that an investigation has been initiated into an alleged scam, with reports suggesting that Rs 3 lakhs were exchanged for providing unauthorized information about the recruitment process.

    It has been reported that a total of 1.29 million applications have been received for police jobs in the state. Surprisingly, some individuals have applied for more than one position, resulting in more applications than available vacancies. The certification verification process for the recruitment has been completed, and from the 14th to the 26th of last month, thorough scrutiny of documents of 97 candidates was conducted.

    The recruitment process has been under scrutiny for the past three months, and authorities have stated that they are determined to ensure a fair and transparent system. The verification of documents was completed on the previous night, and only eligible candidates were allowed to appear for the examination. It has been revealed that many applicants did not meet the age or educational qualifications required for the job.
