Telangana Ranks Third in Software Exports with ₹1.13 Lakh Crore in 2025-26

Karnataka continues to dominate India’s software export landscape, recording ₹3,50,184.78 crore in exports through Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) units during the 2025-26 fiscal year. The state maintains a significant lead over other regions, accounting for nearly half of the total software exports from STPI-registered units across the country. Maharashtra secured the second position with exports worth ₹1,62,594.11 crore, while Telangana claimed the third spot with ₹1,13,101.83 crore in software exports.

The southern states demonstrate a strong presence in the software export sector, with Tamil Nadu contributing ₹60,591.28 crore to the national tally. Among the northern states, Uttar Pradesh emerged as a significant player with exports valued at ₹28,442.69 crore, followed closely by Haryana at ₹26,885.28 crore. West Bengal recorded software exports of ₹10,888.26 crore, establishing its position among the top seven states in this sector.

Several states showed moderate performance in software exports through STPI units. Andhra Pradesh registered ₹5,057.15 crore in exports, while Odisha and Kerala reported similar figures at ₹3,492.42 crore and ₹3,447.61 crore respectively. Gujarat contributed ₹3,150.69 crore, and Rajasthan recorded ₹2,072.05 crore in software exports. Punjab achieved ₹1,623.02 crore, while Madhya Pradesh stood at ₹681.63 crore.

The national capital Delhi registered software exports of ₹652.08 crore, while Chandigarh recorded ₹414.34 crore. Among the union territories and smaller states, Puducherry contributed ₹207.78 crore, and Meghalaya reported ₹147.54 crore. Goa, Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand registered exports of ₹81.21 crore, ₹75.93 crore, and ₹56.68 crore respectively. Jharkhand recorded ₹30.41 crore, Jammu & Kashmir reported ₹19.55 crore, and Assam registered ₹0.65 crore in software exports through STPI units.
