The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has forecast rain across many parts of Telangana for the next four days. The city is likely to experience showers along with gusty winds and possible thunderstorms during this period.
On Monday, several districts including Adilabad, Mancherial, Kumaram Bheem, Jagtial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Malkajgiri, Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Narayanpet, Mahabubnagar, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Nagarkurnool are expected to receive rain and thunderstorms.
Rainfall is also likely on Tuesday across most of Telangana. However, districts such as Rajanna Sircilla, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Warangal, Mahabubabad, and Nalgonda may remain dry.
By May 14 and 15, the IMD predicts widespread rain throughout the entire state. A yellow alert has been issued for areas where moderate rain is expected.
For Hyderabad, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for May 13 and an orange alert for May 14 and 15, indicating heavier rainfall and stronger winds ahead.
According to T. Balaji, a well-known weather analyst, evening and nighttime thunderstorms are likely across Telangana. He warned that Hyderabad could see heavy downpours in some areas during the night hours.
With the rain, temperatures are expected to fall. The maximum temperature in Hyderabad may drop to around 36°C. On Sunday, Nalgonda recorded the highest temperature at 42.9°C, while Bahadurpura in Hyderabad saw 41°C.
The coming days promise relief from the heat, but residents should stay alert and prepared for sudden weather changes.
