Hyderabad – A group of aspiring leaders and professionals walked away with newfound confidence after completing a two-day public speaking workshop called Vaktha, held on May 10 and 11. The training was organized by hmtv in collaboration with the Kaushalya School of Life Skills.
Participants included future politicians, entrepreneurs, and social workers. They said the sessions helped them break personal barriers and speak boldly in public. Many described the experience as life-changing, not just for their careers, but also for how they view themselves and their role in society.
At the core of the training was D Bal Reddy, a seasoned speaker and coach. He guided attendees through practical techniques to improve stage presence, control nervousness, and engage audiences effectively. Reddy emphasized the importance of regular practice and encouraged everyone to note key strategies and apply them daily.
He also shared valuable insights on what to do—and what to avoid—when addressing an audience. He explained how a skilled speaker can influence the emotions and attention of a crowd. His advice resonated deeply with the group.
At the end of the session, Reddy handed out certificates and a book he authored, filled with public speaking tips. He encouraged participants to use the book as a reference to keep improving their skills.
One of the attendees, J Surya Prakash from Vikarabad, said he discovered the event through an hmtv advertisement. He felt the training helped him completely overcome his stage fright. “I feel energized and ready to speak in front of any crowd,” he shared.
Another participant, G Akhila from Mancherial, said the training was so effective that even someone with no public speaking background—like a homemaker—could become a confident speaker. “This programme gave me the courage to lead,” she said.
U Rajender from Sangareddy also praised the workshop’s structure and content. He said it was perfectly designed for people who want to conquer their fear of public speaking and share their thoughts clearly in front of large audiences.
Now in its 130th batch, Vaktha continues to help individuals sharpen their communication skills and build leadership qualities.
