Hyderabad: The top performers in the TG EAPCET-2025 are using the state-level entrance exam as practice for bigger national-level tests like JEE and NEET. These students see it as a way to sharpen their skills before aiming for top institutions like IITs and AIIMS.

Palla Bharath Chandra, who secured the first rank in the engineering stream, has his eyes set on IIT Mumbai. He plans to study Computer Science Engineering there and feels confident about his chances. For him, writing TG EAPCET was a way to stay in exam mode and keep up his pace.

U Rama Charan Reddy, who came in second, agrees. He says state-level tests help him learn how to manage time and approach tricky questions—skills that are essential for the JEE.

P. Hema Sai Surya Karthik, Lakshmi Bhargav Mende, and Manthri Reddy Venkata Ganesh, who placed third, fourth, and fifth respectively, all share a similar goal. They see TG EAPCET as a stepping stone to their dream of getting into an IIT.

In the agriculture and pharmacy stream, Saketh Reddy Peddakkagari and Chada Akshith, who ranked first and third, are aiming for AIIMS. They recently appeared for the NEET exam, held on May 4, and are now waiting for the results.

Saketh is hopeful of securing a high score to land a seat in a government medical college, preferably AIIMS. Akshith faced difficulty with about 12 to 14 questions in NEET but still expects to score between 640 and 650, which he believes should be enough for admission into AIIMS.

Akshith also shared that after his MBBS, he wants to specialize in cardiology.

Another standout is Brahmani Rendla from Ranga Reddy district, who ranked fourth in the agriculture and pharmacy stream. She is the only girl in the top 10 across both engineering and agriculture/pharmacy categories. Like the others, she took TG EAPCET to gain confidence and experience ahead of larger national exams.

These students are treating state-level exams not just as qualification tools, but as important training grounds for their ultimate goals in India’s top institutes.
