Telangana Weather: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected This Week
Over the past 24 hours, some areas in Telangana experienced thunderstorms, gusty winds, and even hail. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said these weather changes are due to several weather systems affecting the region.
One cyclonic circulation is located over northeast Madhya Pradesh, while two others are over Bangladesh and the Gulf of Mannar. Additionally, there are two troughs—one stretching from West Rajasthan to the Gulf of Mannar and another from West Madhya Pradesh to Bangladesh. These systems are causing unstable weather in many parts of the country.
Because of these conditions, Telangana is expected to see light to moderate rain in scattered areas over the next five days. Thunderstorms, lightning, and winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour are also likely during this time.
In the last 24 hours, a few places in Telangana saw moderate rain and thunderstorms with lightning. Some areas even reported hail. Wind speeds of 33 knots were recorded at Daira station in Ranga Reddy district around 12:30 PM on April 14.
In Hyderabad, the temperature reached a high of 37.8°C and a low of 25.6°C, which is normal for this season. Humidity levels were 44% in the morning and dropped to 29% by evening.
The extended weather forecast for Hyderabad shows partly cloudy skies over the next seven days. On April 14 and 15, the weather will be hazy with no major changes in temperature. Thunder and lightning are possible on April 16 and 17. From April 18 to 20, the skies will remain partly cloudy, and daytime temperatures are expected to be between 38 and 40°C.
