Mahesh Goud announced the second phase of the ‘Janahita Padayatra’ starting August 24. He urged party members to ensure strong public participation and to promote the welfare programs led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

As part of a national campaign against alleged ‘vote theft’ by the BJP-led Election Commission, initiated by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, a three-phase protest was outlined. The first phase includes candlelight rallies at district headquarters on August 14, involving MPs, MLAs, MLCs, state and district executives, association leaders, and block and mandal presidents.

From August 22 to September 7, the second phase will feature large protests in state capitals and major cities, with ‘padayatras’ and vehicle rallies against BJP’s alleged vote rigging. The final phase, from September 15 to October 15, involves a month-long signature campaign, aiming to gather five crore signatures against ‘vote theft’ through door-to-door efforts. Mahesh Goud urged leaders to mobilize large public support in each phase. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Adluri Laxman Kumar, along with District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents and district in-charges, attended the online meeting.
