Hyderabad: The Telangana government has finally issued orders appointing chairmen to 34 different corporations, almost four months after the announcement was made unofficially. The orders were actually issued on March 15 but were kept private due to the model code in place during the Lok Sabha elections. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari issued seven government orders: 442, 443, 444, 445, 446, 447, and 448.

During the elections, a few sections of the media had already published a list of leaders appointed as chairpersons for the different corporations. Out of the 34 corporations, 13 chairpersons belong to the Reddy community. Leaders were promised different posts based on their performance in the constituencies during the elections.

The appointment of chairpersons to the corporations was made official before the announcement of the new TPCC president and State Cabinet expansion. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and other senior leaders had meetings with the party high command in New Delhi to finalize the names of the State congress head and new cabinet ministers. The newly appointed chairpersons have been instructed to assume charge.
