Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) and International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) partnered on Tuesday, introducing Vyuha Labs – Cyber Innovation Hub at IIIT Hyderabad.
The hub aims to promote innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in cybersecurity. It will help develop early ideas into products that boost Telangana’s cyber resilience and enhance India’s digital security. The hub fosters collaboration in research, training, and innovation. Telangana DGP Dr. Jitender inaugurated the hub, stating it will unite start-ups, academia, and industry to create advanced cybersecurity solutions.
Dr. Jitender emphasized the hub’s role in supporting start-ups, research, and industry-academia partnerships. He noted cybercrime as a rapidly growing threat needing collective and innovative solutions. He believes Vyuha Labs will fortify Telangana’s digital security and serve as a national model.
Shikha Goel, Director of TGCSB, stressed the importance of innovation in combating cyber threats. She stated that Telangana leads in cybercrime enforcement, and the hub will support sustainable digital safety tools.
Prof Sandeep Shukla, Director of IIIT Hyderabad, remarked that cybersecurity is a societal and technological issue. He highlighted academia’s role in producing knowledge and research solutions, expressing confidence that Vyuha Labs will drive impactful innovations for citizen and enterprise safety.
The hub spans over 3,000 sq ft and features specialized tools and infrastructure for cybersecurity, marking it as a distinctive initiative in the policing landscape.
