M V S Prasad, a retired IAS officer from Andhra Pradesh, passed away on May 25. He served as a Collector and District Magistrate of Ranga Reddy and Vizianagaram Districts. He also held positions as Commissioner of Information and Public Relations and Executive Officer of TTD.
Mr. Prasad was known for his philanthropic work, particularly through the Mellacheruvu Foundation which helped provide education for underprivileged children. He also served as Dharmadhikari for Sringeri Shankarmutt at Shamshabad.
