Gadwal district recently celebrated the 5th Annual Kalyan Mahotsavam at the historic Sri Jammulamma-Parashurama Swamy Temple. Thousands of devotees and several prominent leaders attended this grand event filled with traditional rituals.
Sarithamma, the former Zilla Parishad Chairperson and Congress Party leader for Gadwal, attended the celebrations. The temple committee and officials warmly welcomed her with traditional music. She participated in the prayers and received blessings, after which she was honored with a shawl.
Sarithamma expressed her delight at the festive atmosphere and prayed for Telangana and the Nadigadda region. She hoped for timely rains, fair prices for farmers, and prosperity in agriculture. She also wished for advancements in education, health, and trade under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Her prayers included long, healthy lives for everyone.
Many senior Congress leaders such as Jammichedu Suresh, DTDC Narsimhulu, Bhaskar Yadav, and others were present.
Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy also participated in the festival. He was ceremoniously welcomed by the temple officials and presented traditional silk robes to Goddess Jammulamma. Special prayers were offered for him, and he was honored with a shawl. He also inaugurated the temple’s new silver doors.
The MLA described Jammulamma as a protector of the people and praised the event’s organization. He noted that devotees from various states visit the temple annually. He promised improved facilities for pilgrims and efforts to enhance the temple’s status as a pilgrimage site.
The MLA wished for rains, fair crop prices, and support for farmers. He expressed hope that all communities would thrive under CM Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He committed to supporting the temple’s development.
The event included participation from Temple Committee Chairman Boya Venkata Ramulu, former Joint District Director Subhan, and many other local leaders and devotees.
