Hyderabad: Thousands gathered at Necklace Road in Hyderabad for the Avantika Telangana Run 2025. Participants enjoyed various race categories, including 3K, 5K, 10K, and a Half Marathon.
The Society for Telangana Runners organized the event, celebrating fitness and community spirit. People from across Telangana and other states joined, making it a wide-reaching health celebration.
Prominent figures attended, starting the races and honoring winners. A.P. Jitender Reddy, President of the Olympic Association of Telangana, praised the “FIT Telangana” initiative, which promotes health awareness throughout the state.
Dr. A Ram Kishan, a noted healthcare official, commended the organizers for their efforts in gathering runners. Yannam Srinivas Reddy, from Avantika Constructions, expressed pride in sponsoring the inaugural run and supporting Telangana’s fitness aspirations.
Marri Laxman Reddy, at 81, encouraged young people to incorporate running into their lives, emphasizing health.
The organizing team, led by Dr. Soma Jagan Mohan Reddy and others, ensured the event ran smoothly with the help of volunteers managing logistics like hydration and parking.
The team announced upcoming events like the Anantagiri Trail Run and Godavari River Run to further promote running in Telangana. The Avantika Telangana Run 2025 marked the beginning of a broader fitness movement.
