Peddapalli: Three students from Peddapalli district have been chosen to take part in the Young Scientist Programme (YUVIKA-2025) organized by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This was announced by District Education Officer (DEO) D. Madhavi on Tuesday.
The selected students are Polaveni Sathvika and Padala SiriVennela from Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) in Raghanedu, Peddapalli mandal. They were guided by K. Jagadeeshwar Reddy. The third student, Thodeti Sai Varsitha, is from ZPHS Kannala in Palakurthy mandal.
The programme is for students studying in Class 9 across India. Thousands of students from schools in 28 states and 8 Union Territories registered online before the deadline on the 23rd of last month.
This year, 12 students from Telangana have been selected, including the three from Peddapalli. The chosen students will attend a two-week residential training programme next month. The training will take place at one of ISRO’s seven research centers and will focus on space technology and its applications.
Teachers and educators in the district are proud and happy that three of their students have been selected for this prestigious opportunity.
