The water supply in many parts of Hyderabad will be interrupted on Thursday due to repair works being carried out by the HMWSSB. The repair work is focused on the NRV valve of the second pump at the Kondapur pump house of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Scheme Phase-II.
Officials from HMWSSB have stated that the NRV valve of the second pump at the Kondapur pump house needs to be repaired urgently. This pump is responsible for supplying water to Greater Hyderabad. Once the repair works are completed, the water supply will resume as normal.
As a result of these repair works, areas under the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad Water Board will experience disruptions in their drinking water supply. Some of these areas include NPA, Mir Alam, Balapur, Maisaram, Barkas, and many more.
Other affected areas include Control Room, Railways, MES, Cantonment, Prakash Nagar, Patigadda, Hasmathpet, Ferozeguda, Gautam Nagar, and several others. The interruption in water supply is expected to affect a wide range of neighborhoods across the city.
