Hyderabad / Tokyo: The Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Ltd. (TOMCOM) has taken an important step to help young people from Telangana find jobs abroad. During his official trip to Japan, Telangana’s Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy witnessed the signing of agreements between TOMCOM and two major companies.
TOMCOM, which is part of the state’s Department of Labour, Employment, Training & Factories, signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with TERN (TGUK Technologies Pvt Ltd) and Raj Group. These agreements aim to help skilled workers from Telangana get jobs in Japan, where there is a growing demand in many industries.
TERN Group runs its operations in Tokyo’s Shinagawa district and focuses on hiring professionals for software, engineering, and other skilled worker jobs in Japan. Raj Group, which works with Japan’s top nursing care provider Tsukui Corporation, has already been helping TOMCOM train and recruit caregivers. With the new agreement, their partnership will now expand to include other job sectors beyond healthcare.
Together, the two Japanese employers expect to hire about 500 workers over the next 1 to 2 years. These jobs will be in healthcare (200 positions), engineering (100 positions), hospitality (100 positions), and construction (100 positions).
