The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory for commuters traveling through Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, and surrounding areas. The diversions will be implemented from February 27, 2026, due to pillar construction works at Road No. 2, Banjara Hills as part of the ongoing Steel Flyover and Underpass project under the Hyderabad City Integrated Traffic Improvement (H-CITI) initiative.

The construction activity is being carried out at multiple key locations including Jubilee Hills Check Post, KBR Park Entrance, and Mugdha Junction. The pillar works will significantly impact traffic flow in these busy corridors, necessitating alternative routes for daily commuters and residents of these upscale neighborhoods.

Motorists traveling from NFCL towards Srinagar Colony, Sagar Society, KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Check Post, and Road Numbers 36 and 45 will face diversions at Srinagar Colony T-Junction and Sagar Society. The alternate route directs vehicles via Srinagar Colony Main Road, then to Indiranagar Labour Adda, followed by Road No. 5 Jubilee Hills, and Venkatagiri Cross Roads (Road No. 10 Jubilee Hills), before taking a left turn towards Jubilee Hills Check Post.

For those traveling from KCP and Road No. 1 Banjara Hills towards KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Check Post, or Road 36, the traffic police have designated an alternative path. Vehicles should take Road No. 10 Banjara Hills, proceed past Cancer Hospital, take a left via Agrasen Island, pass through Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and continue to Road No. 45 Jubilee Hills.

Commuters coming from Masab Tank heading towards KBR Park or Jubilee Hills Check Post are advised to take a left turn at Virinchi Hospital, then proceed via Agrasen Island and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to reach Road No. 45 Jubilee Hills. This route provides a viable alternative to avoid the construction zone.

The traffic police have clarified that these diversions will be implemented only on a need basis, depending on the intensity and progress of the construction work. The authorities are monitoring the situation closely to minimize inconvenience to the public while ensuring the smooth progress of the infrastructure project.

Motorists have been requested to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with traffic police personnel deployed at various junctions. The authorities have urged commuters to follow traffic instructions and allow extra travel time while using the alternate routes during the construction period.
