Gadwal: The Telangana State Government is working to improve land record management by training licensed surveyors. On Tuesday, Additional District Collector Lakshmi Narayana gave training kits to the surveyor trainees.
The event occurred at the Integrated District Offices Complex (IDOC), following instructions from the District Collector.
The Additional Collector explained that the licensed surveyor program aims to keep land records clear and accountable. The provided kits are essential for improving the trainees’ practical abilities.
He highlighted that the training involves both classroom lessons and hands-on fieldwork. He urged trainees to fully commit to learning the surveying skills.
Under the 'Bhoobharati' Act, survey maps are mandatory for land registration and mutation, increasing the need for licensed surveyors, especially in rural areas.
Mr. Lakshmi Narayana mentioned that after the training, participants must pass an exam to receive a Licensed Surveyor Certificate. He encouraged them to seize this chance for a promising career in land management.
The event also included Survey and Land Records Department Assistant Director Ram Chander, several trainees, and other officials.
