    TS Weather | Hyderabad: The Telangana State Meteorological Centre has announced that the southwest monsoon winds have extended to some parts of Telangana. It was reported that the monsoon winds, which entered Khammam on Thursday, have extended up to Nizamabad. There is a possibility of Telangana experiencing widespread rainfall within the next two days. On Friday, the depression in the Bay of Bengal near the Odisha and West Bengal coasts moved towards the northeast direction, crossing the coast at a distance of 7.6 kilometers from the sea level, bringing heavy rainfall in its path.

    With the entry of another set of monsoon winds into the state, Telangana is experiencing widespread rains on Friday. The weather has changed drastically since Thursday. There was heavy rainfall in many parts during the night. Several areas in the state received heavy rainfall on Friday afternoon. After enduring extreme heat for many days, the people finally found relief with the arrival of monsoon rains. The temperatures across the state have dropped to below 35 degrees Celsius.

    In the past three days, there have been opportunities for widespread rains, thunderstorms, and showers in certain areas of the state. Heavy rains have been reported in districts of North Telangana such as Nalgonda, Suryapet, Siddipet, Ranga Reddy, and Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri. The Meteorological Centre has reported heavy to very heavy rains in these areas on Saturday and Sunday. Due to the impact of the monsoon winds, there have been heavy rains in Siddipet, Hyderabad, and Ranga Reddy districts. The fields have turned green after a long period of drought.
