TIRUMALA: The chief priest of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), Venu Gopal Dikshitulu, has assured devotees that there is no need to worry about the Srivari laddu prasadam.

He addressed recent concerns and explained that purification rituals, including a “Shanti Homam,” were conducted to fix any issues that may have occurred. Dikshitulu said that any problems related to the laddu preparation before the recent “Pavitrotsavams” were resolved with the completion of these religious festivals.

Recently, there were rumors suggesting that animal fats were present in the ghee used to make the laddu prasadam. This caused a lot of concern among the public. In response, the temple authorities performed a “Shanti Homam” and “Panchagavya Prokshanam” to clear any doubts.

Dikshitulu further explained that all departments of the temple, including the prasadam preparation centers, went through purification processes. He emphasized that any faults (doshas) were unintentional and have been completely resolved through these rituals. He assured everyone that the final ritual, “Poornahuti,” has fully removed any lapses or mistakes.
