In Hyderabad, two drug peddlers were arrested by the Commissioner’s Task Force and Asif Nagar police for possessing 12 kg of dry ganja worth Rs 3.45 lakh. The arrested individuals were identified as Abdul Khaleel alias Abdul Ali (34) and Mohd Arshad alias Amjed (27), both auto drivers who live in the same area. Arshad is the nephew of a known criminal, while Khaleel has a history of committing crimes like housebreaking and pick-pocketing.
According to the police, Arshad obtained the ganja from his criminal uncle and both men were on their way to sell it when they were caught by the authorities. The police charged them under sections of the NDPS Act 1985 for their involvement in drug trafficking.
