TYAcan Foundation Hosts Charity Run to Promote Cancer Awareness

Hyderabad: To raise awareness about cancer among young people, the Teenage and Young Adult Cancer (TYAcan) Foundation organized a special run event on Sunday. The run featured 5K, 10K, and 15K distances, starting from Necklace Road and ending at the Secretariat.

Around 50 senior cancer specialists and 30 amateur runners took part in the event. The goal was to bring attention to the importance of cancer awareness and provide support to those affected by the disease.

“Events like this help raise critical awareness and create a support network for those who are fighting the battle against cancer,” said Dr. Sadashivudu, head of oncology at NIMS.

Some of the senior cancer specialists who participated in the event included Dr. Meher Lakshmi, Dr. Rachana, Dr. Raghunath Rao, Dr. MVT Krishna Mohan, and Dr. Shiva Kumar. Members of the TYAcan Foundation were also present to show their support.
