Hyderabad – The University of Hyderabad (UoH) took a vital step toward improving campus safety by hosting a fire safety awareness session and mock drill on Thursday. The event was led by ASPIRE, the university’s startup incubation center.
The safety program focused on teaching how to handle fire emergencies effectively. Participants learned about different types of fire hazards, how to use safety equipment, and what steps to take during an evacuation.
The training included a live demonstration. Attendees practiced using fire extinguishers and other emergency tools, gaining real-world experience in responding to dangerous situations.
A spokesperson from ASPIRE praised the involvement of the startup teams. “Their active participation shows they care not only about innovation but also about creating a safe and responsible work culture,” the representative said.
This effort highlights the growing role of safety education in modern workspaces, especially in technology and innovation hubs like UoH.
