Hyderabad: Professor GS Vaitheeswaran, from the University of Hyderabad's School of Physics, will visit the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS) in Tsukuba, Japan, in 2026. His trip, part of the International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA) program, is scheduled from January 13 to February 20.
During his visit, Professor Vaitheeswaran will work with Professor Kazunari Yamaura's team. They will focus on Quantum Solid State Materials and aim to discover new technological uses and build a lasting research partnership between the University of Hyderabad and NIMS.
Professor Vaitheeswaran is a highly respected scientist. He has received the DAE Young Achiever Award and the BM Birla Science Prize in Physics. Recognized as a top researcher globally by the Stanford Survey for 2024, he is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and serves as an Associate Editor for the Bulletin of Materials Science.
