Kothagudem, Telangana – A heartwarming moment unfolded near the Rollapadu forest in Yellandu when Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra paused his convoy to feed a group of hungry monkeys.
The animals have been venturing out of the forest and onto nearby roads, searching for food. The forest currently lacks enough fruits and vegetables, forcing wildlife to rely on scraps or human help.
While traveling through the area on Sunday, Vaddiraju Ravichandra, along with MLC Tata Madhu and other BRS party leaders, noticed the animals gathered by the roadside. Without hesitation, the MP stopped and shared bananas, watermelon, and water with the monkeys.
This simple act of kindness brought smiles to many who witnessed it. Locals appreciated the MP’s compassion toward the animals struggling due to the changing forest conditions.
The incident also highlights the growing challenge of food scarcity in forest regions, which is pushing wildlife closer to human settlements.
