Mahabubnagar: “We should not just honor great leaders with garlands and speeches. Instead, we must learn from their lives and follow their example,” said Palamuru University Vice-Chancellor Prof. GN Srinivas. He shared this message during a celebration of the birth anniversaries of iconic leaders, organized by the university’s SC/ST and BC Cells.
Speaking to students and faculty as the chief guest, Prof. Srinivas stressed that the best way to pay tribute to such leaders is by understanding their dedication, courage, patriotism, and compassion. “These leaders moved forward with strong determination. By reading about their lives, we can learn important lessons that help us become better people and responsible citizens,” he explained.
He encouraged students to take these values to heart and practice them in their everyday lives. “Let these celebrations inspire real change. Try to give back to society, and allow the words and values of these leaders to guide you. Change begins with us,” he added.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including Mahabubnagar Superintendent of Police D. Janaki, University Registrar Prof. P. Ramesh Babu, SC/ST Cell Director Dr. N. Kumaraswamy, and BC Cell Director Dr. K. Praveen. Many university staff members and a large group of enthusiastic students also took part in the celebration.
