Former Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar emerged victorious in the Husnabad Assembly constituency, defeating BRS MLA V Satish Babu by a large margin of 19,344 votes in the recent election. Prabhakar’s journey to success began as a student leader and he played a crucial role in the state Sadhana movement during the 2009 elections. Despite facing setbacks in the 2018 and 2019 elections, he strategically planned his comeback by focusing on the Husnabad Assembly segment. Prabhakar identified the majority support from Goud’s votes in this constituency and strategically chose it as his battleground. He also convinced former legislator A Praveen Reddy to rejoin the Congress party and contest the election from Husnabad Assembly constituency. The duo campaigned actively to secure victory in a well-fought political contest.
