Congress candidate D Sridhar Babu won a resounding victory in the Manthani constituency seat. From the first round to the 21st round of counting, Babu maintained a lead and secured a substantial majority of 30,700 votes. The election results were announced at JNTU College in Ramagiri Mandal Centenary Colony on Sunday.
Babu received a total of 1,03,822 votes, while his closest contender, Putta Madhu from the BRS party, trailed behind with 72,443 votes. Challa Narayana Reddy from the BSP party received 2,937 votes, and Chandupatla Sunil Reddy from the BJP party secured 5,779 votes.
In an interview with The Hans India, Babu promised to fulfill all election promises made by Congress to the people. He emphasized the strict implementation of six key schemes and his commitment to delivering justice for the underprivileged.
Babu expressed his gratitude to the voters for their support and stated that people voted for the Congress party with great confidence. He assured his dedication to the development of the Manthani Constituency and pledged to carry out all responsibilities meticulously.
The victory celebration was attended by prominent Congress leaders such as Tirupati Yadav, Choppari Sadananda, Vainala Raju, Sura Sammayya, Musukula Surender Reddy, and Aili Prasad Sasibhushan.
