Wanaparthy Collector Encourages Handloom Workers to Apply for Loan Waivers

Wanaparthy: On Tuesday, District Collector Adarsh Surabhi encouraged handloom workers in Wanaparthy district not to miss out on the loan waiver program. He emphasized that workers who have settled their loans should receive the benefits.

Proposals have been submitted to the government for waiving 252 handloom loans taken from April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2024. Out of these, 86 workers who fully repaid their loans are marked for waivers.

Workers who repaid their loans within this period but don’t see their names on the waiver list should contact A.D. Handloom Govindaiah within a week. They need to bring valid proof of repayment and can call 95737 30056 for help.

Collector Surabhi assured, “The government aims to ensure all eligible workers receive their waiver benefits.”

Eligible workers may receive up to ₹1 lakh directly into their bank accounts, based on their loan amount.

The Collector urged all handloom workers to act quickly to secure their benefits and ensure they are on the final waiver list.
