Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), led by MD Ashok Reddy, inspected the construction of a 212.5 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Amberpet on Monday. He was accompanied by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation commissioner RV Karnan and Musi River Front Development Corporation Limited MD Narasimha Reddy.
This visit was part of the STP Construction Project Package-1. Ashok Reddy announced that the 212.6 MLD capacity STP is nearly finished and will be operational soon.
During the inspection, Ashok Reddy, along with Hyderabad water board ED Mayank Mittal and other department officials, reviewed the site’s progress. He instructed the team to speed up the final work stages, ensuring the plant is ready for use in the coming days.
He highlighted the need for rapid completion of civil works, internal roads, CC roads, landscaping, and painting to prepare the plant for its opening. Emphasizing safety, he insisted all workers follow safety protocols and wear necessary protective gear. Officials also evaluated various construction phases to check overall development.
