Hyderabad: State IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu asked Union Minister for Skill Development Jayant Chaudhary for support for the Young India Skills University.
Both ministers attended the “Mega Job/Skill & Loan Mela” in the city on Monday.
Minister Sridhar Babu stated that the state government aims to make the state the “Skill Capital of the Globe.” He requested the Union Minister’s help for the growth of the Young India Skill University, a key project aimed at providing industry-focused skill education to the youth.
“Our youth are Telangana’s greatest asset,” Sridhar Babu said. “However, many lack the skills needed for today’s job market. Under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, we are working to close the skill gap between education and industry.”
He added, “We believe in inclusive governance. We are creating curriculum with industry leaders and experts. As a result, about 80% of students from our Skill University have found jobs.” He encouraged the youth, saying, “You all have great potential. Adapt to new technologies and remain strong. Every challenge is a step to success.”
The Minister invited Jayant Chaudhary to visit the Young India Skill University and emphasized Telangana’s readiness to collaborate with the Centre to improve skill development nationwide.
