Hyderabad: Water supply will be temporarily stopped in several parts of the city for a few hours.
Officials from the Hyderabad Water Board said that a major water pipe has developed a leak. This pipe is part of the Phase-2 Manjira Water Supply Scheme, which provides drinking water to Hyderabad. The leak was found in a large pipe between Patancheru and Hydernagar, near RC Puram, Father School, and Old Mumbai Road.
To fix the leak, repair work is being carried out and will continue until 11 pm on Saturday.
Because of this, water supply will be affected in several areas. These include Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, RC Puram, Lingampalli, and Miyapur.
Residents in these areas are advised to store enough water in advance and use it carefully until the supply is restored.
