A man in Hyderabad, aged 45, was arrested by the special operations team of the city’s police for allegedly murdering a woman with a boulder after she rejected his sexual advances.
The man, identified as Vallepu Srinu, was taken into custody by the authorities.
The incident took place at Aramghar under Mailardevpally police limits, where the body of a woman was discovered. The victim, known to locals as a ragpicker, was last seen with the accused Vallepu.
Police investigations revealed that Vallepu had recently befriended the woman and on March 30, he gave her alcohol. When she was intoxicated, he took her to a secluded area and tried to force himself on her. When she resisted, he killed her using a boulder.
