Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently provided updates on two important partnerships in a recent “Ask Me Anything” session on YouTube. He confirmed that discussions with Ripple’s XRP team are progressing well, and the collaboration with Chainlink is taking longer than expected.
Hoskinson expressed optimism about Cardano’s work with Ripple, stating that XRP will soon be supported in Cardano’s Lace wallet. This integration will allow users to store their XRP securely alongside other cryptocurrencies like ADA and BTC.
Furthermore, XRP holders will also be included in Cardano’s Midnight airdrop, which is part of Cardano’s new privacy project. The airdrop will reach 37 million users across multiple blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and XRP Ledger.
Regarding stablecoins, Hoskinson mentioned ongoing discussions with RLUSD, hinting at potential support for Ripple’s fiat-backed stablecoin in the future. He emphasized his strong ties with Ripple’s team, particularly with CTO David Schwartz.
In terms of the partnership with Chainlink, Hoskinson revealed that the collaboration has faced delays due to codebase issues and complex updates. However, he remains positive about the future prospects of working with Chainlink.
Additionally, Hoskinson shared that Flare Network plans to bring its oracle services to Cardano, expanding the partnership beyond Ripple.
In the FAQ section, it is clarified that Cardano is not dead and is undergoing significant development. While some believe Cardano has the potential to surpass Ethereum in the future, it is acknowledged that this may take around 18 to 20 years.
Overall, these updates highlight the progress and potential of Cardano’s partnerships with Ripple, Chainlink, and Flare Network.
