Hyderabad: The Executive Officer (EO) of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadagirigutta has raised concerns about a recent religious ceremony involving political figures. The EO is upset because this ceremony, known as a ‘politically linked pooja,’ goes against the temple’s customs and traditions.

The EO wrote a letter to the Yadagirigutta station house officer (SHO). In the letter, they mentioned that during a visit by some MLAs and MLCs to the temple, some priests (whose names are unknown) conducted a pooja with political connections. This ceremony took place in the temple’s Mada Veedhi area. The EO noted that several VIPs participated in this pooja, including T Harish Rao, Deshpathi Srinivas, Gongidi Suneetha, an unknown priest, and others.

The EO emphasized that Yadagirigutta Hill is a sacred place where political or non-religious activities are not allowed. The EO believes that the actions of these VIPs have violated the temple’s rules and disrespected the faith and beliefs of the devotees. This has caused deep hurt to millions of devotees of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy worldwide.

The EO has requested the SHO to register a case under the relevant laws and take the necessary action against those responsible.
