Mahabubnagar, Telangana – In a proud achievement for government junior colleges in Mahabubnagar, a total of 114 students were honored for scoring top ranks in the EAPCET entrance exam. These students received free coaching through a special program called PIONEER, initiated by MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy.
The PIONEER program is part of the broader Mahabubnagar FIRST – Navaratnalu initiative. It offers free coaching to students from government institutions to help them compete with their peers from private and corporate colleges. The outstanding results this year prove that the initiative is working.
At a celebration event held at the MLA’s camp office, Srinivas Reddy shared his joy. “Seeing these students succeed brings me more happiness than winning elections,” he said. “They’ve shown that, with the right guidance, government college students can shine just as bright.”
District Collector Vijayaendira Boyi also attended the event. She praised the MLA’s efforts, stating, “This program is changing the way Mahabubnagar sees education. It takes a true visionary to launch something this impactful.” She also revealed that plans are underway to establish a new IIIT college in the region, thanks to the MLA’s ongoing efforts.
Prof. GN Srinivas, Vice Chancellor of Palamuru University, joined as a special guest. He applauded the students’ achievements and emphasized that their ranks will open doors to the top 10 engineering colleges in the state. He also highlighted the MLA’s consistent support for education.
MLA Srinivas Reddy expressed optimism about the future. He shared his hope that local students will soon attend a new engineering college at Palamuru University. “Mahabubnagar is changing, and we must keep moving forward,” he said.
Many prominent figures attended the event, including Obaidulla Kotwal, Chairman of the Minority Finance Corporation; Laxman Yadav, MUDA Chairman; Anita Madhusudan Reddy, Market Committee Chairperson; and TPCC leaders Vinod Kumar and Harshavardhan Reddy. Several education officials and college principals were also present, celebrating the students’ success.
This initiative marks a new chapter for education in Mahabubnagar, proving that with the right opportunities, government college students can achieve excellence.
