Hyderabad: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) insists the State government start the Rajiv Yuva Vikas Scheme (RYVS) immediately.
DYFI state president Kota Ramesh and state secretary Anganganti Venkatesh criticized the Congress government for not keeping its promises after coming to power. They pointed out that while applications were collected, no steps have been taken to implement the scheme.
During a meeting on Sunday, the leaders highlighted that the government allocated Rs 6,000 crore for self-employment loans under the RYVS. Approximately 16,25,000 unemployed people applied for this scheme. However, the announcement of beneficiaries was delayed beyond June 2, known as Telangana State Formation Day.
The DYFI leaders urged the government to prioritize the scheme and ensure all eligible individuals receive funds, even if they lack a CIBIL score. They warned of potential protests if the demands are ignored. Additionally, they called for filling vacant state positions and urged the government to adhere to the job calendar and issue necessary job notifications.
