Gadwal, Telangana — The 207th birth anniversary of Karl Marx was observed with respect and enthusiasm at the CPM District Office in Gadwal on Monday. The event was held by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) to honor the legacy of one of history’s most influential thinkers.
Karl Marx, known for his groundbreaking ideas on economics, politics, and society, was praised by party leaders during the celebration. They remembered him as a visionary who deeply impacted the world with his radical thoughts and humanist ideals.
Kotam Raju, a senior CPM leader, said Marx was the first to expose how labor is exploited by capital. “He gave a voice to the working class and offered a roadmap to freedom,” Raju stated. He added that Marx’s predictions about global economic crises still reflect today’s reality.
District Secretary A. Venkataswamy also addressed the gathering. He emphasized that Marx’s iconic book, Das Kapital, continues to inspire oppressed people around the globe. He criticized current governments for favoring the rich while ignoring the struggles of ordinary workers.
The leaders urged young people to study Marx’s life, teachings, and his fight for justice. They called on youth to understand his philosophy and work toward a fairer society. They also encouraged unity among all communist groups to carry forward Marx’s mission.
Key CPM members attended the event, including V.V. Narasimha and Singaraju Maddileti, showing strong support for Marx’s enduring influence and the party’s continued commitment to his ideas.
