The makers of “The Kashmir Files” movie have sent a legal notice to Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal. They accused her of making false statements about their film. CM Banerjee banned another movie called “The Kerala Story” in her state and said that “The Kashmir Files” was propaganda that aimed to defame a specific community.

Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, along with his wife Pallavi Joshi and producer Abhishek Agarwal, served the legal notice to CM Banerjee. They claim that her comments were defamatory and made with malafide intentions to harm them and their films.

The legal notice was sent after CM Banerjee’s press conference on Monday. In it, she announced the ban on “The Kerala Story” and made comments about “The Kashmir Files.” The filmmakers of “The Kashmir Files” believe that her comments are false and have harmed their reputation.
