    Activists from ABVP protested at the District Education Officer’s (DEO) office in Gadwal, demanding reforms in the education sector. They called for the immediate dismissal of the DEO, criticizing their handling of laws against private corporate schools. They also highlighted challenges faced by students due to lack of infrastructure in schools.

    The activists also demanded better infrastructure in government schools, regulation of fees at private schools, and enforcement of the Right to Education Act. They criticized the State government for not addressing education issues and threatened to besiege the Secretariat if their demands were not met.

    Suresh, the Gadwal district convener for ABVP, called for strict action against private schools charging high fees illegally. He also emphasized the importance of recognizing and derecognizing private schools based on compliance with regulations. The activists urged for immediate filling of DEO and MEO positions to ensure proper oversight in education.

    Specific demands included investigating Mid-Day Meal irregularities. The ABVP activists vowed to continue their protest until their demands were addressed.
