Hyderabad: The AICC has commended the Telangana government for achieving the highest per capita income in India. The state’s per capita income reached Rs 3.87 lakh for the 2024-25 fiscal year, surpassing Karnataka and Haryana.
A video clip shared by the AICC on X highlighted this success. They credited Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress government for this accomplishment. Telangana’s economy grew by 12% year-on-year, achieving a Net State Domestic Product (NSDP) of Rs 14.56 lakh crore. This growth was fueled by progress in agriculture, industry, and services, particularly the IT sector in Hyderabad.
Telangana’s per capita income not only surpasses Karnataka and Haryana but also exceeds the national average. The state’s strategy, which balances growth and welfare through improved irrigation and IT leadership, serves as a model for other states, overcoming economic challenges in India.
