Engineering students in Hyderabad now have a legitimate channel to express their emoluments thanks to a new online survey launched by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The Graduate Income Index (GII) survey aims to factor in engineering graduates’ remuneration, perception, and aspirational aspects. The survey comprises about 30 questions divided into three sections, including general and perceptual benefits, remuneration, and aspirational benefits. The AICTE hopes that direct responses from alumni employed in various industries will help it understand the potential outcome of graduate income and provide feedback on existing education delivery mechanisms. The survey takes only 10 minutes to complete, and the personal information provided will be kept confidential. The AICTE has asked higher educational institutions to maintain an alumni database and share the survey template with those who have completed at least one year after their undergraduate program and are currently working in any organization. The online survey can be accessed at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfKLZRxNNjraaQ0-mr1lQtnZzJo6a_qgepBlDLgArJqwjfPOA/viewform.
