Gadwal: AITUC District President B. Anjaneyulu and former AISF leader Ganta Paresh Babu have stressed the importance of workers uniting under the red flag to protect their rights. They believe that workers need to come together to challenge governments that favor the rich and capitalists. According to them, only a government led by workers can ensure a better future for laborers.

The event was part of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) 105th Foundation Day celebrations. The program took place at Hamali Adda in Nallakunta, Gadwal town, where District President Anjaneyulu hoisted the flag to mark the occasion.

During his speech, Anjaneyulu highlighted the important role AITUC has played in India’s independence movement and its long history of fighting for workers’ rights. He mentioned famous leaders like Lala Lajpat Rai, Jawaharlal Nehru, VV Giri, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarojini Devi, Bhagat Singh, and Dange, who were all associated with AITUC. Founded on October 31, 1920, in Bombay, AITUC has spent over a century working for the welfare and legal protection of laborers.

Anjaneyulu strongly criticized the Modi government for merging 29 labor laws into just four labor codes. He claimed that these changes took away many rights from the workers and mainly benefited the rich. Despite being 105 years old, AITUC remains committed to fighting for workers’ rights and will continue to do so in the future. He urged all workers to support AITUC and join its fight for justice.
