In a surprising development for the TPCC Chief A Revanth Reddy, several Congress leaders are expected to join the BJP soon. Former MLA Akula Rajender and former MLC M Rangareddy are among those who will be switching parties. Along with them, Jaipal Reddy, son of former MP Baga Reddy, and former Tandur Municipal Chairman Lakshma Reddy will also be joining the BJP.

Akula Rajender and Rangareddy recently met with BJP National Vice President DK Aruna and Telangana Chief G Kishan Reddy to discuss their prospects in the party. Akula Rajender has previously served as an MLA from the Malkajgiri Assembly constituency, which is currently represented by Revanth Reddy.
