Gadwal: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the creator of the Indian Constitution, is not just a leader for one group but a role model for all people, said A. Venkataswamy, District Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He was speaking at a government event held on Monday to mark Ambedkar Jayanti at the district headquarters. During the event, he paid floral tributes to Ambedkar’s statue.

Venkataswamy criticized the BJP, accusing it of trying to show Ambedkar as a leader only for certain communities. He said this was part of the party’s plan to divide people. He also pointed out that although Ambedkar has the most statues in the world, many of them have been destroyed under BJP rule.

He went on to say that crimes like murders and rapes against Dalits have increased since the BJP came to power. He also mentioned that in some places, entire villages have boycotted people from Backward Classes (BCs).
