Andole constituency in Telangana has the most farmers benefiting from the farm loan waiver scheme, with Husnabad and Kalwakurthy following closely behind.
The State government recently waived off farm loans up to Rs one lakh, depositing a total of Rs 6,098.93 crore into the bank accounts of over 11 lakh farmers in 110 Assembly constituencies. This relief is part of a scheme launched by Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy to help farmers burdened by debt.
In Andole constituency, over 20,000 farmers from nearly 19,000 families received the benefit of the farm loan waiver scheme. The State government waived off a total of 107.83 crore in farm loans in this area alone.
Similarly, in Husnabad and Kalwakurthy constituencies, thousands of farmers and families also benefited from the scheme. In total, over Rs 100 crore worth of farm loans were waived in each of these constituencies.
