Jadcherla MLA Janampally Anirudh Reddy clarified his recent statements about the Banakacharla project. He emphasized that his comments were aimed solely at contractors, not political figures.
Amidst political tensions, the MLA accused some opposition leaders of twisting his words and spreading false claims without viewing his original video.
Anirudh Reddy addressed the media, stating, “My remarks targeted contractors linked to Chandrababu Naidu involved in Telangana’s infrastructure projects. These contractors often seek Naidu’s help to halt projects like Banakacharla. The term ‘coverts’ was used in this specific context.”
He expressed frustration with leaders, including KT Rama Rao (KTR), for misinterpreting his words and suggesting he indirectly targeted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
“If calling Revanth Reddy a covert due to his TDP background is fair, then KCR, also from TDP, should be labeled similarly. Isn’t that absurd?” he questioned.
Anirudh Reddy urged everyone to watch his complete video before forming opinions. “I did not target any political leader. My focus was on contractors, and I stand by that,” he affirmed.
