Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials recently conducted a raid at the Tahsildar’s office in Kothakota Mandal, Wanaparthy district. The action was taken after a farmer reported corruption involving government officials.
DSP Balakrishna, who led the operation, revealed that the farmer was asked to pay Rs 40,000 for an ORC certificate. The certificate was related to a cancellation process. Investigations confirmed illegal financial dealings, and substantial evidence was gathered.
The investigation found that the Revenue Inspector (RI) Chiluka Vasu and Surveyor Naveen Reddy demanded the bribe. ACB officials captured them with clear evidence of wrongdoing. Following these findings, a case has been registered against both individuals.
The ACB is committed to combating corruption and aims to build public trust by taking decisive action against corrupt officials. Further investigations are ongoing.
