Unusual Weather in Telugu States: Sun and Rain Mix
The Telugu states are seeing strange weather with both sun and rain. The Meteorological Centre reports a weakened trough from south-central Maharashtra to north-interior Karnataka, Telangana, and coastal Andhra Pradesh causing this. Westerly and northwesterly winds are impacting Telangana.
Today, people in many Telangana districts should expect light rain with gusty winds at 30 to 40 km/h. Affected areas include Adilabad, Komarambhim, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Jayashankar Bhupalpalli, Mulugu, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba, and Gadwal. Temperatures may rise in the next two days, with Khammam reaching up to 41 degrees and Mahabubnagar at a low of 36 degrees.
In Andhra Pradesh, the Amaravati Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rain in various districts soon. The ‘Droni’ weather system might bring rain to Alluri Seetharamaraju, Kakinada, Prakasam, Palnadu, Anantapur, and Sri Satyasai on Sunday. Thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds at 40 to 50 km/h are likely elsewhere, adding to the hot and humid weather.
Temperatures might hit 40-41 degrees. On Saturday, Kavali reached 41.1 degrees, Gannavaram 41 degrees, Nellore 40.8 degrees, Bapatla 40.5 degrees, and Ongole 40.3 degrees. Rainfall recorded Kurnool at 11 mm, Tirupati at 3 mm, Ongole at 3 mm, and Vijayawada and Tuni at 2 mm each, with Kakinada at 1 mm.
