Arab Diplomats in Riyadh Advocate for a Leadership Role in Resolving the Syria Crisis

Foreign ministers from six Gulf Cooperation countries, as well as Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan, met in Saudi Arabia to discuss Syria’s return to the Arab League. The ministers agreed that the region must play a leading role in ending the crisis in Syria. The Saudi foreign ministry released a statement saying that the group discussed the importance of having an Arab leadership role in efforts to end the conflict.

The meeting took place on April 14, 2023, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The group of diplomats from Arab countries expressed their desire to help broker a solution to the crisis in Syria. The news has not been edited by News18 staff and is published from a syndicated news agency feed.
